BSR — Breathe Stretch Release · The Digital Class
BSR · The Digital Class

The tension you've carried for years — released in under an hour.

BSR combines resistance stretching, breathwork, and guided meditation into one hour-long somatic class that reaches what stretching alone never touches — your fascia and your nervous system. You leave lighter, looser, and calmer. And it lasts.

10 minutes a day for 10 days. No commitment, no credit card — just press play and feel it.

You probably recognize this

You've done the right things. Something still isn't letting go.

If you've tried everything and your body still feels stuck, you're not broken — and it isn't a willpower problem. It's a nervous system problem, and most practices only work on one piece of it at a time.

  • You've done yoga for years — it helps in the moment, but the tension always comes back.
  • You've been in therapy — you understand your patterns, but your body still holds them.
  • You've tried breathwork, meditation, cold plunges — and something still hasn't shifted.
  • You feel like you're managing your life rather than actually living it.
  • You carry tension you can't quite locate or release, no matter what you try.
  • You've wondered if this is just how you're wired.
Why it works when other things haven't

Most stretching only reaches the muscle. BSR reaches the fascia.

When you passively stretch and wait, your nervous system triggers a protective reflex that makes the muscle resist. That's why you can stretch the same spot for years and never get past a certain point.

BSR uses resistance stretching — the muscle actively contracts while it's being lengthened. This works with your nervous system instead of against it, reaching the fascia: the connective tissue that wraps every muscle and holds your deepest patterns of tension. The body stops bracing. The fascia softens. The change is structural, and it stays.

You're not just looser after class. You're structurally different.

The science, simply

The fascia releases

Active contraction while lengthening reaches connective tissue that passive stretching can't — so flexibility becomes lasting, not temporary.

The nervous system lets go

The technique signals your body that it's safe to release, instead of guarding. Bracing patterns held for years begin to unwind.

The breath resets you

Targeted breathwork shifts you out of fight-or-flight into genuine regulation — moving stored tension and emotion that movement alone can't reach.

Inside the class

One hour. Three phases. A full nervous-system reset.

Each phase builds on the last — taking your body somewhere it rarely gets to go, and leaving you regulated, not just relaxed.

Stretch

Resistance stretching

Active, resistance-based movement that engages the fascia — building real flexibility and strength while releasing tension at its structural source.

Breathe

Breathwork

Two-part and circulatory breathing oxygenate the body deeply, activate the parasympathetic nervous system, and move stored emotion out of the tissue.

Release

Integration & shift

A guided meditation to absorb what you've released, closing with a somatic shift — a hum or laughter release — that trains your system back toward calm.

What you get

A complete practice you can do anywhere, anytime.

  • The full 1-hour BSR class The complete guided experience — stretch, breathwork, and meditation — to practice daily or once a week alongside your usual routine.
  • A 15-video pose mini-series A dedicated video for every BSR pose, so you can learn to execute each move correctly — or pull one up anytime you want to release a specific area more effectively.
  • Lasting results, not temporary relief Because the work is structural and neurological, the flexibility and the release stay with you between sessions.

The pose library

A video for every pose — so you always know you're doing it right.

Resistance stretching only works when the contraction and direction of force are right. Each short video walks you through one BSR pose: how to position your body, where you should feel it, and what to look out for — so you get the lasting release the technique is built for.

Keep them on hand as a reference. Tight hips before bed? Shoulders after a long day? Pull up that pose and release it properly in a few minutes.

What you'll feel

Regulated — not just relaxed.

The kind of release you're desperate for from a really good massage. But this one lasts.

Lasting flexibility

Real, structural range of motion that stays with you — not the temporary looseness that fades by the next day.

A calmer baseline

Breathwork that shifts you out of low-grade activation, so your whole system settles into genuine regulation.

Tension that releases

Deep fascial release that reaches the tension you couldn't locate — physical and emotional, finally letting go.

Strength and mobility

Active resistance tones and strengthens the body while it lengthens — building flexibility and stability at the same time.

More presence

The space to actually be present in your life — feeling it fully instead of just managing your way through it.

All of it, in one hour

Everything your body needs — stretch, strength, breath, and release — without stitching together five separate practices.

In their words

What people feel after a single class.

"I've been taking Rich's class for the past few months and it has truly changed my life. I started out of curiosity, with no expectations — and within just a few sessions I noticed a huge difference in my mental and physical wellbeing. The resistance stretches release the tension I hold from a stressful workday, and I leave each class feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and rested in a way I haven't experienced before. It has helped me be more mindful, patient, and present in a way that years of therapy did not. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking to reduce their anxiety and stress — or just live a happier life."— M.F.
"Breathe Stretch & Release was a unique and thoughtful session that allowed for an authentic release of stuck energy. Rich's knowledge combined with his comforting nature truly added to the experience. I left feeling open, light, curious, and inspired to continue this practice of thoughtful breath, movement, and meditation."— C.C.
"I can feel myself getting stronger thanks to this practice and your inspiration. I'm so grateful. This practice, your words, your guidance, your energy — it has all been so impactful on my life. Each day I log on or attend an in-person class, I'm better for it, and I have you to thank for that."— C.L.

About Rich

Rich Mancuso, founder of BSR

Rich didn't set out to become a teacher. For over 25 years he was simply a student — practicing yoga, breathwork, meditation, and energy healing because his own body and life demanded it. BSR is what emerged when he combined the most transformative parts of everything he'd learned into a single practice, because nothing alone was giving him the lasting release he was searching for.

He built it over years of daily practice — not from a training manual, but from listening closely to what the body was actually asking for. Now he teaches the practice that changed his own life, for anyone ready to feel the same.

Common questions

Before you begin.

Do I need any experience?

No. BSR is designed to meet you where you are. The pose mini-series walks you through each movement so you know exactly how to do it — and where you should feel it — before and during the full class.

How is this different from yoga?

Yoga primarily stretches the muscle. BSR uses resistance stretching to reach the fascia — the connective tissue that holds your deepest tension — and layers in breathwork and guided meditation to reset the nervous system. It's built to work on your body, your breath, and your emotional state all at once.

How long is the class, and how often should I do it?

The full class is about one hour. It's great to practice daily, or even once a week alongside your usual routine. The pose videos can be used on their own anytime you want to release a specific area.

What do I need to get started?

Just enough space to move and a way to play the class. We'll recommend the ideal setup — quiet space, headphones or speaker — so you can get the most out of each session.

What does it cost?
